How Pet Cats Differ From Pet Dogs | OTS Scuba

My parents were dog lovers and I grew up with dogs. I disliked cats since I see them as wild creatures which can claw your eyes out. They would scratch pillows, paint off the walls, and leave an ugly scratch on your beautiful paintings.

Dogs, on the other hand, are great companions although they could not talk back. You can walk them and play with them. I have never seen a master walk his cat which allowed me to believe that cats are anti-social.

When my dog died from old age, I got myself a new puppy companion. He was playful and never really understood my instructions. He would pee all over the carpet and would run around the house breaking vases and dishes. He would chew my stilettos and play on my bed and there were even times when he peed on it. But, when my friend who was a cat person went away for a week, I was forced to take her cat in. She begged me to take her cats in for a week, which request I really could not say no to.

So, she gave me feeding instructions. I am a quiet person who loves to ponder and watch TV. I would usually call my puppy over so we could sit together to watch TV, but he was much too hyperactive just to sit for an hour.

However, the burmese cats would always sit beside me and make me pet their head. We would sit there for hours watching my favorite soaps and she seems to like the shows that I like. After that, I realized that cats, especially Burmese cats are good friends who would always look to you for warmth and affection.
