Kid entrepreneur talks healthy eating, interviews President

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Nicolas Come had a very busy day Tuesday in Washington.

He met with a member of Congress, spoke to staff at the Department of Agriculture and briefly interviewed the President of the United States.

By the way, he's 8 years old.

"So, the very first thing I remember is telling the president in less than ten seconds about my app and giving him a business card," recalled Come.

Come covered First Lady Michelle Obama's Kids' State Dinner, speaking with other kids who are pushing for healthy eating just like him.

He even spoke with the head chef at the White House.

"I also met with all the, every single other, chef in the entire White House, and I even have a picture with them," Come said.

The White House chefs will all be submitting healthy recipes for Nicolas' app, Nicolas' Garden, and a those chefs may become more involved with Nicolas' project, said Drisha Leggitt, who is on the trip to Washington with Come.

Come said the whole experience reinforces his vision for a healthier America.

"I am actually really happy that a thousand and three hundred people are willing to learn about fruits and vegetables because they submitted their recipe."
