Description:
Responsible for auditing of all HR Benefits programs to ensure compliance with university and regulatory requirements. Incumbent will propose changes in processes, systems or training.

Qualifications:
Minimum:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in business, Human Resources, HRIS or equivalent; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Three or more years experience, including previous benefit plan administration experience
  • Skills: Broad understanding of Benefits programs and related compliance, process and regulatory issues. Analytical, organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of Excel and related Office Software.
  • Physical Mobility: Periodically travel on and off campus to attend meetings
  • Environmental Conditions: Normal office environment.
  • Mental: Ability to deal with unexpected challenges quickly and efficiently. Must be able to deal with difficult customers in a positive and proactive manner. Ability to successfully manage conflicting and multiple priorities. Must maintain confidentiality.
  • Other: The successful candidate must submit to a thorough background check including: County Criminal Record, Social Security Number, Credit History and Education Verification.
Preferred:
  • Licenses: CEBS or SHRM designation
  • Experience: Five or more years experience with Health and Welfare benefits in a higher education setting.
  • Skills: Experience presenting to groups.
